Gamma Quadrant

Only very little and only in the outer rim has the Gamma Quadrant been explored. But by the discovery of the only stable worm hole by Bajor and the spacestation Deep Space Nine ("Emissary" (Part 1 + 2) (1 & 2)) in the Alpha Quadrant, everything has changed: The worm hole is a 70.000 light year short cut directly into the Gamma Quadrant. But there are also enemies in the quadrant, the biggest is the malevolent Dominion Empire, where the founders are shape shifters (beings, who can metamorph themselves into things and beings), ruling the empire with them as gods worshipped by the Vorta race, genetically created, and defended by the genitically created Jem'Hadar, who are pure fighting machines.
