About the character:
In the family of Thomas Eugene Paris the tradition has been a long
way of acknowledged officers in the Starfleet. He himself is the
son of a father, who is an admiral in the Starfleet and his attempts
to live up to the expectations of the family is too great a strain
for him. Therefore, after his graduation from the Starfleet Academy
he enters the rebel group the Marquis, with whom he do not stay
with for long, when he during his first mission is caught by the
Starfleet and locked up.
Captain Kathryn Janeway gives
him a fresh chance in life aboard the USS Voyager, which though
shortly after its departure from the space station Deep Space Nine
vanishes without a trace. On the USS Voyager Thomas Paris is the
scout.
About the actor:
Robert Duncan McNeill is born in North Carolina but grew up in the
capital Washington. Since then the family moves to Atlanta Georgia.
After high school he decides to move to New York City to become
an actor, an art he studies the next two years.
He has throughout his career appeared in TV series and movies,
though it does not come up to his appearance in "Star Trek:
Voyager" from 1995 to 2001. Today he lives in Los Angeles with
his wife Carol, their sons Kyle and Carter and the daughter Taylor.
