S T O R Y
On the prison planet Nimbus III for hopeless criminals the inmates have started a rebellion and taken their jailers as hostages. Kirk - who in the last movie ("Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home") was degraded to captain - and his crew are send to stop the mutiny and free the hostages. But the leader of the rebellion, a man with mysterious powers, has other plans. He plan to take over the Enterprise and plot a course to the unknown part of the galaxy.
