"The Search" (Part 1)

Sisko returns to Deep Space Nine after a long meeting in Starfleet
headquarters on Earth and has with him the USS Defiant, prototype
warship designed to protect against the borg menace, but now redirected
to Deep Space Nine and the battle against the Dominion. The USS
Defiant have aboard a cloaking device borrowed from the romulan
empire. Sisko and his crew set out in the new ship to find the mysteriously
founders of the Dominion.

While Odo has to put up with an unbelievable discovery about his
origin, Kira attempts to contact Sisko and the others. Meanwhile,
Sisko arrives at the station to realize that everything changes

After attacking Quark a drunk klingon is killed by his own weapon
during the scuffle between the two at the bar. Quark claims, that
he fought the klingon and won. That makes the customers to flock
to the place and everything goes well until the family of the killed
klingon arrives the station. Quark is kidnapped to the klingon empire
and compelled to marry himself with the widow of the klingon, he
killed. He then finds himself entangled into a bitter feud between
two klingon families.

Dax starts to suffer from severe hallucinations, so Sisko and Bashir
takes her back to the world of the trill's, where they hope to find
the cause of her state of mind. But it seems that the trill rulers

prevent the truth to get out.

prisoner of war camp on Bajor, and when she dig further she discovers
other people, who claims that they know her. She goes down to Bajor

years.

The officers on DS9 journey to Earth in the USS Defiant to brief
Starfleet about the situation in the Gamma Quadrant. But when Sisko,
Bashir, and Dax beam down something goes wrong with the transporter
and do not arrive at the headquarters. While O'Brien and Kira tries
to find out, what has gone wrong, Sisko and Bashir are arrested
as ramblers outside the underground railway in year 2024. Dax is
more fortunate to be rescued by a passing but is now to save the
other two from the sector, they are cordon off in.

gives him snide remarks...

everybody is gone - nearly all, and those who are not behave highly
irrational. On top of that Bashir is slowly aging...

mission in the Defiant, which during the run is sabotaged by a crew
member!

the supervisor of ferengi businesses, who confiscates goods from
the bar. They tell him, that that it is reasonable penance for his
mothers illegal activities. Quark returns to his home planet to
get to the bottom of the matter. It turns out, that she has broken
herself against the ferengi law, that prohibits women to make profit.
On DS9 Sisko meets the girl, the son Jake has arranged for him!

To Kira's big frustration kai Winn is by the provisionally government
placed as the leader of Bajor. Kira is asked to help confiscate
farmer tools used to clean polluted land from her former mates in
the resistance movement, who refuse to hand them over. As soon she
arrives, she learns their needs are genuine and a lot of promises
has been broken. On DS9 O'Brien is pulling full house in the bar
of Quark with his luck in the game of dart.

is aboard...
