The 22nd century, before the existence of the Federation. Captain
Archer starts an era in Earths history, when he sets forth into
space to explore the unknown in the galaxy class space ship Enterprise
NX-01, and with him he has a mixed crew.

"Star Trek: Voyager" is concluded after 7 seasons in May
2001, a Star Trek TV series that far from have had satisfactory
ratings and accusations about bad scripts and an overdose of special
effects has rained down on the series. The Chakotay actor, Robert
Beltran, are of that opinion, that for instance his part has been
handled very shallow. But the confidence in the need for another
Star Trek TV series, but first of all that there is money to make,
does, that there in deep secrecy, while "Star Trek: Voyager"
runs on its 7th season (2000-2001), is created a new Star Trek TV
series. For the third time it is Rick Berman, who gets the job,
this time along with the well respected scriptwriter Brannon Braga.
It is not until the late spring 2001, that some of the ideas are
revealed, that is to bring Star Trek back to the great period, that
ran from 1987-1994. It was in those years, "Star Trek: The
Next Generation" was broadcasted and produced. "Enterprise",
is the title of the new TV series, and just about everybody are
surprised, that the well known Star Trek is not a part of the title.
"Enterprise" is produced in the same studios, where "Star
Trek: Voyager" was produced. Many of the old pieces of scenery
from "Star Trek: Voyager" were destroyed after the production
has ended, but parts are reused on the new setup.
