Worf is reunited with his lover, K’Ehleyr ("The Emissary" (46)), who brings two surprises with her: The first is their son, and the second is the klingon emperor, K'Mpec. He has been poisoned by one of the two successors, and his last wish is that Picard should choose the new klingon leader.

Riker heads an away team to discover the source of signals coming from a lifeless planet. Overcome by gas, he is revived aboard the Enterprise - 15 years later. Picard is now an admiral and arrives on board a romulan warbird. Is this the future or a romulan trick?

Wesley is about to leave for Starleet Academy so Picard takes him on one final mission. Their shuttle crashes on a dsert moon, leaving Wesley to look after a seriously injured captain and find some way past the guardian of the only source of water.

Wesley Crusher has been accepted to the Starfleet Academy and depards the cast. Wil Wheaton, who plays ensign Wesley Crusher, is with "Final Mission" written out of "Star Trek: The Next Generation". But he returns as guest star twice in season 5 in the episodes "The Game" (106) and "The First Duty" (119) and twice in season 7 in the episodes "Parallels" (163) and "Journey's End" (172).

The Enterprise's warp drive has failed and the ship is moving towards a cosmic string. At the same time, Deanna Troi loses her empathic powers. The connection is a race of two-dimensional beings on their way to the string, dragging the Enterprise to its doom.

Wil Wheaton's name has been removed from the intro. Data does not any more include the seconds when he is to tell about a calculated time, as he has noticed people getting annoyed by it.

Data recounts a "typical" day on the Enterprise for Bruce Maddox on the Daystrom Institute. This day he is best man at transporter chief O'Brien's wedding. Unsure of his duties, he takes a lesson on dancing from Beverly and learns about pre-wedding nerves.

Data reveales in his log to the Daystrom Institute Geordi being his best friend. Data now has a cat named Spot. Beverly Crusher is a good dancer, and she teaches Data the steps for his part as best man to Miles Edward O'Brien and Keiko's wedding.

The Enterprise is attacked by the cardassians who insist the starship Phoenix is attacking them, and the Federation with that is breaking the peace treaty. Picard discovers that the captain of the Phoenix believes he is under fire from the cardassians.

It is stated, that a peace treaty between United Federation of Planets and Cardassia excists and should have been signed less than a year ago.

"Devil's Due"

The people of Ventax II have enjoyed 1000 years in peace as the result of a pact with the devil. Now all the prophecies are being fulfilled and the devil Ardra appears to claim her dues. Unfortunately these now include the Enterprise.

The Enterprise discovers a class M planet. While investigating they encounter a wormhole and are knocked unconscious for 30 seconds. Gradually clues reveal that they have actually lost a day. Data is unaffected but seems to be lying to his colleagues.

The malcorians are about to perfect warp drive which will make them aligible to join the Federation. Riker, who is a part of the study team on the planet, is very badly injured. The malcorians discover he is an alien, and some of them would do anything to stop contact with aliens.

Geordi's alterations to the Enterprise do not meet with the approval of one of its designers, Leah Brahms ("Booby Trap" (54)). In fact Geordi's meeting with Leah is a shock. While antagonisms grow, the Enterprise itself is chosen by a space-born creature to be its new mother.

The crew of the USS Brittain has wiped itself out in a murderous frenzy. The only survivor is a withdrawn betazed. The Enterprise finds itself trapped in the area and the crew begin to see spooks in the shadows, while Deanna starts to suffer from a recurring nightmare.

Geordi was once part of a planetary survey team. Now all the members of this team are vanishing and soon only Geordi and Susanna Lejten remain. As the Enterprise orbits the planet, Susanna is compelled to beam down while she slowly transform into a another creature. Geordi is next to feel the compulsion...

The superbeing Q arrives to offer Picard anything he wants. At the same time Vash ("Captain’s Holiday" (67)) arrives on the Enterprise. Q sees Vash as Picard's unfulfilled love and so transports them to Nottingham to be Robin Hood and maid Marion, accompanied by some of Picard's "merry men".

Classified information on the Enterprise's warp drive has been passed to the romulans by a klingon. Then a hatch explodes in the engine room. Is there another traitor onboard the Enterprise? Admiral Nora Satic arrives to head the enquiry, which takes an alarming angle.

Timicin’s planet is in danger and the Enterprise is helping him conduct solar experiments. Lwaxana Troi makes one of her surprise visits only to fall for the charms of Timicin. His experiments fails and he has no time left to try again. Because he must return to the planet, where there is a tradition he has to fulfil. A tradition Lwaxana cannot accept.

Ambassador Odan makes a strong impression on Beverly Crusher on his way to important negotiations so she is understandably upset when his life is in danger. In her trying to help him she makes a most surprising discovery.

Wesley's name is mentioned by his mother, Beverly Crusher, in her personal log. A tril is seen for the first time.


The Host

"The Mind’s Eye"

Geordi has had a relaxing time away from the Enterprise - or so he thinks. The romulan plan to split the klingon empire from the Federation gains momentum when Geordi is kidnapped and brainwashed. He is to kill the klingon governor of a nearby planet, and will receive his orders from an agent on the Enterprise.

Jenna has been emotionally hurt in a recent love affair and turns to her friend Data for comfort. Gradually she finds herself falling in love with the android and Data has to take stock of the consequences of the relationship. In the meantime mysteriously inexplicable things happen onboard.

Picard is reluctant accepting to be the one to choose the new klingon leader. But there are many unexpected complications and political machinations. Worf's family honour can be restored, but this could mean that he will leave Starfleet.
