Enterprise takes no notice of an alien buoy signaling that the space of the melkotians are a restricted area, so Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, and Chekov are send to Tombstone, Arizona, USA, 26 October 1881 where all sees them as the Correll brothers. Here their phasers are useless and to avoid getting shot they must leave town, which an invisible field prevents. They have only left to defend themselves against the Earp brothers in this univers of fiction.

The two membership planets of the Federation, Elas and Troyius, has for decades been at war among each others. The peace is to be secured by the marriage between the two planet leaders, but the queen is impossible and a klingon bird of prey follows at a distance.

On a planet, that is in danger of being hit by an asteroid, captain Kirk, Spock, and McCoy find native indians and a strange obelisk. Suddenly Kirk, without anyone taking notice of it, gets caught in it, and when he gets out, he has amnesia. The indians, who have seen him leave the obelisk, thinks he is a god.

Feeling jumpy and tense captain Kirk orders the Enterprise into romulan space, where they immediately is surrounded by romulan war birds. Kirk's explanation on the violation of the romulan border is instrument failure, while Spock is saying, the captain ordered it extenuating the mental state he is in.

The Enterprise finds all grown-ups from an expedition to Triacus killed but the children alive. They seem though to be indifferent with the death of the parents and when they come aboard the Enterprise, they take control of the space ship.

During a routine mission a beautiful, young woman is beamed aboard the bridge, where she without a word touches a ring around her wrist and all falls asleep. When they wake, Spock has disappeared and McCoy insists the presence of captain Kirk in the sick bay.

In the way of getting the technology of Medusa to fit Federation's and vice versa the ambassador of the planet, the specialist Lawrence Marvick, doctor Miranda Jones, and Kollos lying in a box beam aboard. The medusans are so beautiful, that it can drive a human to madness, simply by taking a glance at them. When Miranda says 'no' to Lawrence about getting married with him, he becomes a madman.

Enterprise arrives the second planet to the star Minara, where they are to collect a team of scientists but two are missing. When a radiation storm breaks loose, Enterprise is compelled to leave its orbit around the planet. Meanwhile, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy disappeares and is now in safety from the storm under ground. Here they meet the two scientists and two aliens running their own research.

Responding to a distress call from the space ship USS Defiant in a region of space Enterprise arrives. The screen shows the space ship to be there, but the sensors tells it is not. Still captain Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Chekov beams over to find all dead. And that is only the beginning...

At the same time as McCoy finds out, he has a year left to live, Enterprise discovers an asteroid moving forward by artificial propulsion. Within they find a people, whose ancestors flet in the unusual craft, that clearly is controlled by a computer, though they think of it as a god, when their solar system was to come to an end. Now, the asteroid has its course directly at one of the Federation planets and the steering is not working.

An away team from Enterprise beams down to a colonized planet acting on a distress call. They find a damaged klingon space ship, whose commander accuses Kirk to be the one responsible. Aboard Enterprise it developes to hatred between both humans and klingons and an unnoticed existence as an audience...

A distress call is received from Platonius and captain Kirk, Spock, and McCoy beams down to the planet, where they meet a people with a strong and powerful ability to control the mind of living beings. But towards physically injuries they are powerless, so after McCoy has treated the infected leg of the leader Parmen, the Enterprise is prevented to leave its orbit around the planet with the greek inspired culture.

Enterprise comes to the rescue acting on a distress call from the planet Scalos, but what greets them is an empty town. Down on the planet a crew member disappeares and soon everywhere aboard mysteriously malfunctions arises and a strange device attached in engineering.

They find a 2000 year old planet but with an already evolved atmosphere. A team consisting of Kirk, McCoy, Sulu, and an ensign beams down to the unexplored class M planet. They split up but suddenly a beautiful woman appeares. She touches the ensign and he dies. Enterprise subsequently is pushed quite a few light years away and it will take over 11 hours to get back to the planet. And more women are on their way...

That Which Survives

"Let That be Your Last Battlefield"

Enterprise catches up with a stolen shuttle craft belonging to the Federation and finds aboard a man by the name of Lokai, who immediately asks for asylum. When Enterprise later on meets a second vessel and its man beams aboard, it turns out he is hunting Lokai for treason. Soon the hunt continues aboard, though not with the blessing of Kirk!

The planet Elba II, which has a toxic atmosphere, keep under ground a prison for mentally sick criminals. Enterprise arrives with newly developed medicine hopefully to cure these people forever. But captain Kirk and Spock soon realizes, that the prison has been taken over by the insane Garth, who will use the Enterprise to conquer the entire galaxy.

The negotiations are on between the Federation and Gideon, a planet apparently a true Paradise, where no one seems to die in the sterile atmosphere. Enterprise has been sent to the planet to determine the planets suitability to enter the Federation, but captain Kirk, who is the only one allowed to beam down to the planet, believing he is to meet with the leaders of Gideon, ends up instead on an abandoned Enterprise.

Enterprise has lieutenant Mira Romaine aboard, who is to go to the Federation central library, Memory Alpha, where she is to arrange the equipment on the spot. On their way they get hit by a storm of energy blowing towards the planet. Orbiting the planet the storm of energy has hit and wiped out all living plus deleted the librarys hard disc. On the planet Mira feels the storm is coming back - an ability given by the storm.

Scotty is very much in love with Mira Romaine.

Enterprise arrives Ardana to buy the rare mineral zienite, which cannot be produced because of the working class rebellion against the rulers of the planet, who lives in a city hovering high above the surface. In the city they consider the miners to be born stupid and for that reason they have to work the mines.

Enterprise captures some thieves flying on their way in the stolen vessel Aurora. They are looking for the mysterious planet Eden, which should be true Paradise. They do not have any respect for authorities and those who do not approve their faith in life.

The dangerous rigellian fever attacks the crew, and captain Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are looking for the only known antidote, ryetalyn, on Holberg 917-G. Here they meet Flint and his daughter Rayna, and while his hovering robot mix the drug, captain Kirk and Rayna falls in love to the father's great jealousy.

Enterprise is breaking its orbit of an uninhabited poisonous planet, when it show signs of life and Abraham Lincoln appeares on the monitor. They are invited down to the planet, where a challenge is not to be missed...

Captain James T. Kirk's greatest idol is Abraham Lincoln.


The Savage Curtain

"All Our Yesterdays"

The crew investigates Sarpeidon, whose sun is nearly burned out. On the deserted planet Kirk, Spock, and McCoy finds a library, where there sits a librarian and his two doubles. It is he, who has sent the entire population into the past to avoid the presents collapse of the sun. Kirk, who hears a womans cry for help ends up in a time frame himself, not easy to get out of. In the others search for him they also end up in a time frame, and they only got 3½ hours left before the planet dies.

"Turnabout Intruder"

Enterprise receives a distress call from an archaeological dig, but it is really a carefully plottet trap: Doctor Janice Lester, who once had a relationship with captain Kirk, is using an ancient device replacing her personality with his. Slowly a frustrated Kirk realises what has happened, but no one will believe him!

Turnabout Intruder




Since the TV series show a loss in income, the commercials of the sponsors do not reach the right audience and a constantly difficult Gene Roddenberry making the TV series expensive to produce, make NBC who has ordered the series to cancel it. The story do not continue until 1973 in an animated version of "Star Trek" - also known as Star Trek: The Animated Series. That TV series runs for a total of 2 seasons.
