Abrams is to direct the new movie as for the time being has the working title STAR TREK: XI. The plot is around the James T. Kirk character, Spock, and the others from the TV series STAR TREK when they are in the Starfleet Academy. The movie will therefor chronologically take place in between the two TV series ENTERPRISE and STAR TREK.
